Tuna Trips

Our normal tuna fishing trips consist of night time jigging, chuncking, live baiting, and throwing top water poppers. Even though tuna is the main species that we target during these trips, we also troll the daytime (sun up and sun down on 24 hour trip) and catch other species such as Wahoo, mahi, and billfish. 

Typical departure time is 12 noon

Swordfish Trips

Broad bill swordfish are considered one of the most mysterious and elusive billfish swimming the waters of the Gulf of Mexico today.  With less than 1 percent of anglers world wide ever getting a shot of hooking one much less landing one, the lucky few that do have entered into small elite group of anglers envied by most.  Not only are Swordfish considered once-in-a-life time trophies but their table fare is second to none.

F/V AMBUSH has one of the highest success rates on catching and landing swordfish on the Texas coast.  While these leviathans of the deep have a special mystique around them that leave most anglers scratching there heads, when it comes to hooking and landing them, AMBUSH and crew has the methods for catching them down to a science.
